wanna lift a little bit 2 to 4 inches

i would like to lift my 1998 2dr blazer non-zr2 a little bit what is the best way to do it i was thinking tbar up front 2inches and new leafs in back? could i use zr2 springs in back correct me if im wrong

I believe ZR2 springs will fit from a blazer, not pickup. ZR2's gain their height from the suspension being mounted differently not from taller leafs. You could get an add-a-leaf, new leafs, or shackles. I would go with shackles because you keep the same ride stiffness and they are pretty easy to install could get it done in an hour depending on rust, and if you know someone with a welder they could probably do it no problem. Another budget way of doing it is adding leafs from a junkyard vehicle.

I wouldnt crank the TBar too much, but its up to you.

thank you i didnt know that about zr2s. and i think you can safely crank the tbar 2 inches with out problem and ill look in to shackels.

i thought about body lift but is that an okay way to go? i would rather have a suspension lift

what are your goals for the truck?

Bluebeastblazer57 02-26-2014 12:02 AM

to give it a small lift to get bigger tires and more clerance

Jamaroon 02-26-2014 06:47 AM

just for looks/ on road driving only? or off road where you will be using all of your suspension travel?

Bluebeastblazer57 02-26-2014 03:35 PM

daily driver and off road

Jamaroon 02-26-2014 03:47 PM

Then 2" body lift would give better tire clearance

Bluebeastblazer57 03-01-2014 01:35 PM

i will keep that in mind thank you.
