Why don't the lifts fit a zr2

I have a 01 zr2 blazer with 180xxxkm I got a few months ago for 1500 and I'm planning on lifting it .. was thinking about a sas but decided against it for a variety of reasons .. What I want to know is why dosent the rough country 6 inch lift or any other lift for that matter fit the zr2 and what would need to be done to make it work .. I know there used to be the trailmaster 5 inch lift but they seem to be hard to find and almost 1000 more than the rough country lift I can cut and weld and I'm good with tools so I would be doing the work myself ... my ultimate goal is to run a 2 inch body lift as well as the suspension lift and run 33s maybe 35s .. I do light to moderate offroading nothing to serious and I still want it to be reliable around town sory for the long post but ive been searching and i have yet to find what i want to know .. I know the mounting points for the suspension are different but what's exactly different about it

I had a Jeep before and from all the research I did, rough country does not have a good rep. You get what you pay for, bushing longevity etc could be a factor. I don’t know about the trailmaster lift but there may be valid reasons why it’s so much more

I have been researching a lift for my 4 door, and I noticed a note on the Rough Country 2.5" lift.

"ZR2/Highrider models will only gain approximately 1.5in of lift due to coming installed with a factory lift."

The 6 inch lift is noted that it will not fit any 2 door blazer/jimmy, ZR2/Highrider or standard.

BDS still makes a 5" lift but it's 2K. I'm running the rancho 2.5 and a 2" body lift with 33's, may be a cheaper alternative for you.

The front portion of a zr2 frame is different than that of a standard s-series which is why the kits are not interchangeable. Do a 2" body lift with a little fender trim and run 33s, learn how to drive off-road better and save your front drive line from massive wear issues or spend lots of money for a lift that will fit it to fit your 35s and break other parts while still not being able to go anywhere you couldn't have gone with the 33s...

After building my SAS blazer I would never spend a penny on any sort of lift other that what was needed to do another SAS. There are also a ton of other really nicely built trucks here and on other forums to get ideas.
