1994 S10 Blazer no brake lights?
 

OK, I ran across a new one today. Some guy pulled up alongside me and said I had no brake lights. Since my headlights are hot-wired, I assumed he meant TAIL lights, so I checked the switch - yup, it was off. So I turned on the headlight switch.

As I drove home, I got to thinking maybe I better check it, so I pulled into a closed store, and backed up towards the windows so I could see the reflection. Sure enough, no brake lights EXCEPT the high center one. Checked the hazards, they were fine - that eliminates the fuse and the lamps. Checked turn signals, they were fine. The fact that the high center light comes on basically eliminates the switch. The only thing I can think of is a short somewhere in the trailer harness, especially since my trailer hitch brake light comes on with the taillights (I don't recall that happening before).

Anyone else here seen this before?

The same wiring is used for the turns as the brake lights. You likely have a problem with the multifunction switch which the 2nd gens are well known for, but not so much on the 1st gens.

I assume you have checked all of the fuses.

Had the same thing in my '94 in my case the problem turned out to be a broken wire coming out of the fuse box, cut soldered back together with a shrink sleeve problem solved. Just something to check out a continuity tester will be your best friend while trying to figure out which wire is causing your problem.
Electrical gremlins suck there is no quick and easy answer it's time consuming testing and tracing wires.
