1997 Blazer Locking Problem!!!
#11
alright, i have a 97.. my locks did this before they stopped working completely.. heres what I did to figure it out..
Open driver side door ->Look at the side of the dash -> Remove fuse panel -> remove 20a Pwr ACC Fuse (silver fuse near top-if you don't understand or get confused the diagram for the fuses are on the back of the panel you pull off.) let it sit out for a few minutes -> plugged it back in locks worked normally for about 3 tries.
Diagnosis: The fuse is about ready to die.. so I replaced it and had no trouble since.
what made me confused about it was my driver seat still worked.. just not my locks. But after replacing the fuse the locks worked again and the seat moves a lot easier now.
Kristoph-you got lucky with just a seized motor in the tail. I bought mine with a seized lock cylinder. Never did get around to replacing that.. to much hassle.
