Exclamation starting

recently I found the ground internal wire in my starter was broken and of course wouldn't start.I replaced the starter and got nothing , no starting my question comes to the wiring , selenoid wire may got damaged when all this happen I got my 12volts to the starter but had no check my selenoid wire , don't really know where is the other end of it to check resistance , I did check starter to ground but not sure if I need to have switch on or the way to do it , if any body can help will appreciate it.

i had the same problem couple months ago, i replaced my starter...and heres where it gets tricky.....when u go to check the wires for a good connection. for the ground and selenoid, make sure the connection is clean and has a nice flat surface. if its not clean your gonna have to wire brush it. make sure it is secured all the way back and in dead center middle. your gonna need a second person maybe so they can reach in and hold it back for you while you tighten it down. (easiest way is to take off the tire) if u already havent. let me know what happens good luck
