Default 2001 Blazer. Electrical problems

I have had these issues for a while but I wanna fix them up since Ive decided to keep this truck and I wanna take care of it.

1- The electric door lock button on the passanger or drivers side does not function at all. When I turn the car on and off the doors do lock and unlock themselves but the not with the switch.

2- The rear hatch button does not work from the outside or the inside. When I press it nothing happens.

3- The mirror controllers dont work on both sides.

I recently got a multimeter but I am not sure what readings to look for when checking the wires. I was hoping someone could help me diagnose and see if these problems are caused by the switches or the wiring.. or something else.

Thanks!

1 and 3 could be tarnished or dried grease on the switch contacts in the switches themselves. They can be taken apart, cleaned and re-lubed with dielectric grease. For #2, the rear switch in the hatch is the same. I had the same problems. All cleared up with the clean and grease process. Been going good for the past year. Possibly, the inside hatch switch could be a similar problem. I have not had to clean that one.

It is a bit of work to get to the rear hatch switch but not any worse than having to replace them.

When you use a meter to check, set it to resistance or continuity. You are looking for breaks in the wiring or a switch not making a contact. Resistance should be low or continuity should beep if its a good circuit. Electrical contact cleaner is good for cleaning out the carbon, dirt...etc inside a switch.

I actually fixed 1 and 3 by replacing the 3 amp fuse under the hood...

For #2, is there a fuse for that? If so whats the name of it? I am thinking it might be the because of a blown fuse? What are the chances of the switch contacts going out both on the back and for the inside switch at the same time?
