97 s10 disable door alarm
Hey I have a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer S10 4-door. I constantly work with the door open and that buzzer always stays on. Id like to disable it somehow. I tried tape over the push button but that doesn't hold it in. I thought it would be possible to pull out that button switch and connect two wires together or something to make it always pushed in or something like that but I have absolutely no idea. So what would my options be for disabling it?
Thanks in advance Edit: All I basically want is the sound to stop for it. I just realized that by making that switch stay shut, the light wont come on when you open the door i believe. So Id like to keep that but id like to stop the annoying buzzer if possible. |
The door switches work by completing the ground circuit. Removing the switch, disconnecting the wiring, and taping off the connector should remove that switch from the circuit.
