adding overhead console
Hi, I have a 06 TB will no overhead console, while at the junkyard for another vehicle, I had to look at the TB's just to see what was there. So anyway I found/saw an overhead console in good condition, My question is: Are 06 TB's prewired and assembly ready to add a console, and if so do I need anything else to make it work? This is all new to me, I need help!!!!
This would likely require looking at the wiring schematics for your TB.
If you think you'll be keeping your truck a while, it could be a good investment to purchase the official GM Service Manuals for it. I have the ones for my 1999 and they have been super useful.
In short, the wiring could be there but there is a slim possibility that the body control module (BCM) or equivalent would need to be changed too.
