Additional reverse lights

I want to mount two lights to my roof and connect them to my reverse lights, how do I go about doing that?

Thanks

Could always ground the lights out anywhere, then run the wires down the back hatch, and tap into your exsisting reverse light wiring. Doing that would cause them to come on every time you threw 'er in reverse though, alternativly, you can run a completlely independent wiring system, up to a toggle switch in the dash that would give you control over when the lights come on

Mount them & have a relay activate a high current line that feeds the lights. The stock power to the reverse lights won't be enough to run aux. lights like a pair of 55 watt halogens or whatever you're using. Tap into the existing reverse lights wiring to activate the relay.
I'd put the ground for the relay on a switch that you mount in the cab so you have the choice of when they're on.

Alright, thanks!

Sounds pretty advanced to me, haha. But I'll get it done!

My pleasure... get a self stripping tap from an automotive place, the type where you run the wire you want to tap into through it & run the end of the wire that you're going to use, in it. Crimp the U shaped plate down & close it.

That's all the current you'll need to activate the relay.

Yeah a relay is the way to go. That's how I did mine.
