Auxiliary light help!
The Blazer I just bought came with lights on the grille guard. Wired them up to the high beam light (or so I thought) and now when I drive it they stay on all the time, even with the high beams off. Is there any way around this? I have the DRLs and no factory fogs. I want them to run on high beam only.

try pushing your parking brake pedal in a couple clicks and see if your DRL's shut off and the off road lights shut off.
If they do, I would guess you tapped into the wrong wire. Also, how many aux lights are on the grille gaurd and what watt are they. Chances are the factory wiring cant handle the extra load. you would be better off wiring them off the battery with a switch and a relay. There are quite a few threads on this forum on how to do that. |

Not to mention it's illegal in many states to have aux lights on when your high beams are on. I don't know where you live tho so can't say for sure!
