Bad/Loose tail light ground ebcm malfunction?

Would having a loose/ disconnected tail light ground cause the ebcm to malfunction? Just got my codes read today and I had those two but I am pretty confident that it is a loose tail light ground because it only seems to come on when I go down very bumpy roads well that is how it appears..

Thanks,
Kai

What were the codes? The ground for the taillights is at the back of the truck and not really tied into the EBCM circuits.

I don't remember exactly cause I do not have a ABS code reader myself so I went to my mechanic and got them read he cleared them for me. They started to come on before I got my bearings replaced and could that cause the ebcm to malfunction? Either way now I'm confused why the ground code came up with the abs codes and no SES or CES.

There is no use speculating. A problem was recorded and the code set. Diagnosing the problem begins with the codes that were present.

Yeah true well if they come up again Ill message you with the specific codes thanks for the input for now.

Alright will do.

Got my codes read again and its only this one CO265 EBCM Relay Circuit. What is that and how do I fix it?

Kai 05-02-2011 03:42 PM

Does anyone know how I would fix this?
