Blazer ground question
With my key off I check my 4.3 engine grounds and all ohm out good (1ohm or better).
With key on I check my grounds and they are 10.0 ohms. Is this normal since the key is on or do I have something wrong? Got a 1351 code, no start. It tries to start and fires a couple cylinders then the computer shuts everything down and sets the 1351. EVERYTHING has been replaced, has to be a short?? |
The answer is, if your grounds ohm out higher with the key on= short in harness.

not necessarily...
just my own thoughts here... get back to basics. the longer or thicker the wire the more resistance you will have.
with that said... i would GUESS that with the key on and electricity flowing through the wire, the resistance would be higher. i know we are in the same boat with the same problems on the same vehicle. have you checked your grounds using the voltmeter on dc scale with red lead on batt + and black lead - on the ground wire and comparing your numbers?? btw im back to square 1 on mine today... computer and new control module made no difference... other than no codes when i try to start it! |
Hello presti7 did you find P1351 error solution, i have Chevy 1996 with the same error.
