stock alt will run the truck and my second high output 270 amp alt will run my 7000 watt rms sound system so its 2 seperate electrical system one is just a dedicated system alt

Wondering myself

its very easy to do and doesnt cost very much

7000 watts, that sounds serious! So is the secondary electrical system completely isolated with its own bank of batteries? At peak, 7000 watts is drawing about 500 amps! Sweet!

Not much belt driving the original alternator, looks like less than 45 degrees, may have trouble with it slipping, add on looks good though, almost 180 degrees.

thanks! yeah the stock alt i wanted more wrap but it just wasnt working out the way i wanted it to but i figured since just the trucks stock electrical components will be ran off it im hoping it doesnt cause too much of a issue due to not being a very big load on that alt but the other alt got really good wrap so i shouldnt see much slippage from that one only time will tell lol and so far after said and done ill have maybe 100 invested in it i just gotta get a harness ordered for the h/o alt and tap into a turn on so the alt will turn on and then just get that top bracket made for the top of the alts

Pulling 500+ amps, (14 volts x 500 amps = 7000 watts) that 270 amp alternator will be running full field all the time and only charge half of what you're drawing! Better have some SERIOUS batteries backing it up;)
