i have seen a few, I have seen people with 5+ alts when they are running huge competition stereos.

Yeah, unless you're running something that requires +3kW of power regularly, you don't need 2 alts. Just one 250A alt will put out that much.

This here....... is the truth! Some day I hope to need 2+ alts LOL! that would be neat... but I am a bass head, on a budget right now.

I'll never be able to fit something that needs that much power in my balt. :( Someday though.

I have a dc power 270, but have been thinking about working on a second alt project. I had two cs144 140s on my old 4 banger first gen

What are you running to require more than 3200W of power? Or is it just for fun?

The stock alt can supply enough for a 1500w amplifier at the max. Right now im running 2 2kw amps strapped at .5ohm each. They are crazy inefficient, but were cheap and make good power. In the past Ive ran a 3500 at .5 which was great and even a 6+kw amp for awhile.
