Gauge needle

Does anyone know if it is possible to scrape off the orange from the gauge needles I've heard ppl saying u can I was just wondering if anyone has done that or knows if its possible

Sure it is... pull the dash apart, take the inlay out with the needles & scrape away. You can look in ebay for dash panels etc (change the wording up etc) & get a glow panel for them.
Just matters what time & effort you're willing to put into it. IMO to take the dash apart & pull just the needles, scrape/sand, repaint or w/e ... maybe 4-6 hrs to do it without cutting corners.

There is a write up about removing the dash & replacing the panel in here - search it out. It'll give you insight as to what's involved at least.

I did this to mine. If you want to paint them, be sure to use glass paint or something semi-transparent or they wont light up, at least mine didn't. I used a sharpie on mine.

Here's how it looks without the glow gauges on.

Any recommendations on what to paint it with I'm debating making my gauges white with red needles and make the rest of the lights in the truck red if I don't just make it all red

I'd just try a marker and try to make it as even as possible.

Transparent nail polish, testors brand model car candy apple red paint....

Go to a junkyard and get a set of needles and experiment with different things to see how they look. Make sure to shine a light on the back of the black circle where the light would hit it (there is a little mirror in that part) from the gauge lights to see how well it lights up too.
