Default Glove Box Light

(1996 Blazer) Does anyone know what turns on and off the glove box light when it's opened? It doesn't have a bulb in it now because it doesn't turn off but I would like to put it back in, I just don't know if there's a switch or something else that's not being triggered properly to turn the light off and on. I looked for an obvious plunger switch but nothing. Thanks in advance for any responses/help.

There is a simple "push" switch" that opens when the door is shut and closes when the door is open. Should be very simple to find, look for a pin around the perimeter of the door.

See that's what I thought too but there isn't a pin anywhere and I scoured hard to see if it would have been broken off but there's no spot that looks like anything broke off and there's no buttons anywhere that a pin would have engaged.

I found there was an entire piece missing from my glove box. The mechanism with the pin. If it was a snake it would have bit me. :-/

I'm gonna tie my light into my headlight circuit. I sometimes need mine open while driving at night. I have no light socket yet. I bought my Blazer, as is. Lots of similar issues. Go with the headlight circuit way, and you won't need to worry about that switch.
