Headlight Fuse
I installed an HID kit last week and the lights worked great all week. Last night both lights just went out at the same time. I assume its a fuse since both went out simultaneously and won't go back on.
Does anyone know which fuse to change for the low beam headlights? Any suggestions on a specific fuse to use? Thanks! |
check your relay switch located in the glove box
|
Ok...so I went in the glove box, and took off the panel that said "Relay Access"
There is three box looking things in there plugged in. What do I do? I don't see a switch... Thanks for the help! |
Those are the relays, find out which is for the headlights, remove it, and replace it with a new one from the parts store
|
Ok thanks....I'll buy a new relay and try it out....
|
Ok...so I pulled out the headlight relay, and plugged it back in, and now one headlights works. Really odd...
I'm going to try getting a new relay and seeing what it does.... |
I got a new relay and put it in....still only have the passenger side HID fire up. Driver side has day time running lights and high beams working...but the HID won'd fire up.
Is it possible the HID fried when the relay popped? |
Did you try reversing the polarity on the HIDs? unhook them and flip them 180°

When I installed the HID's I did have to reverse the polarity on each one. The HID's were working fine for a few days, and then both just shut off. I switched the relay in the glovebox and now the passenger HID works but the driver doesn't. |
Well since you already reversed the polarity when you installed them. I would go around and check all your connections, make sure they are clean.
Also, try switching your ballast and bulbs from one side to the other just to rule out a bad ballast. or bulb |
