Default hid ballast mounting & question

I got raptor 55w ballast from ddmtunning with the mounting kits. I got both my highs and lows,so there are 4 ballast. Where would be the best place to mount the ballasts at? Also is there anyway I can set up my lights so when I turn my high beams on both my highs and lows stay on? And if so how?

mount ur ballasts away from any heat source, they get hot and if they get too hot they will go into safe mode and shut off. so where ever u can where the wires reach away from a heat source is good. so front of fender wells or behind grille would be good. and as far as ur high/low being on together when u turn ur highs on, there is a kit u can buy off ebay or a parts store that allows u to get this dun.

u can get it off summit.com or auto zone....its called a 2 to 4 relay. it wires them all together with a bigger 4 way relay. and if u cant find it under that name just tell sumone at the parts store what ur wanting to do and they should know what it is. i got mine off of summit.com

For the high & low beams do a search in here for "quad beam mod".
Also if you have Daytime Running Lights (DRL) you'll have to disable that. You can search in here for that as well. Both have been covered many times & there is tons of info on both.

Second what rottidog said.

Go to auto zone or who ever & ask for a 30amp relay, tell them what you're doing & they'll hook you up. Maybe $7.

I had gone to autozone and asked them and they had no idea what I needed, so I ordered it from summitracing. For $40

Would it bad to spray paint one side of my ballast? Because the way they are mounted you can see the shiny side through the grill.
