How does the heater motor come out ?

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has changed there blower motor for there heater in a 2000 blazer 4.3 4x4 . I did try searching but everything came back as heater core replacement . Any help or helpful links would be greatly appreciated .

Look at the black plastic covering on the passenger side firewall and you should see a faint dotted line that (I believe) says "cut here". Take a box cutter and carefully cut out that section to expose the blower motor for removal. After replacement, put the section you cut out back in place and use black RTV sealant to seal it up.

Ok , glad I asked . Thank you Mr rriddle3 I was getting ready to tear the dash out and start from the inside because it has no bolts on the outside like my 94 .

That's a '93 S-10. His 2000 Blazer is a different design and set-up.

Well, glad I found this...Just one question. Do you need to put the plastic back on? Does it serve any function other then dust cover? I didn't see him do it in the video...I'll have to watch again when I get home to a computer with sound. The closed captioning made no sense.
