Infinite electrical issues
Alrighty y'all, enjoy my "teenage, unexperienced" issues.
---------------- Just bought by first vehicle, turning out to be a '97 S-10 4-Door Blazer. Needs some work, including new tranny and many electrical issues (explained below). ---------------- -When purchased, parking brake light is illuminated, along with the high beam light. -Brake pedal applied leads to right blinker coming on solid. -Parking brake applied leads to high beam light turning off. ----------------- Weird sh!t, man. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
I have a similar issue with the right blinker. Whenever the headlights are on the blinker light stays on in the dash. I've replaced the blinker relay and fuse and that hasn't helped at all. I hope your problems are solved easier than mine!

UPDATE 3/23/17
---------------- -Come to find out, the "high beam" light that comes on is actually your green DRL's. -P. Brake light is still on, maybe low fluid or pads/shoes need to be replaced. -Thinking my problem with blinkers/brakes is due to a bad connection in my hazard switch, which with pliers, you can yank out and throw a new one in from Dorman Auto... Think this will fix it, find out this weekend. Update y'all Monday! This ^^^ to view the instruction video for removing the switch. |
