Some of the stock 194 gauge bulb twist locks have the bulb soldered in and can be a pain to remove. I was pretty sure the gear selector was soldered in leds on all 2nd gens.

Thogert, just wanted to say thanks for the nice clean listing of led bulbs used for converting a blazer's stock lighting. Used your guide to get started on my 2000 Blazer upgrades. Saved me from having to inventory everything just to start. Thanks again man.

I changed to LED instrument lights yesterday on my 2000 Blazer, for the speedo, Tach, and four gauges (fuel, batt, temp, and oil) you need to order the T10 sockets, factory bulbs and sockets soldered together and socket not re usable after you break the bulb out, no contacts, after carefully looking at the different T10 sockets on EBAY I bought mine from YITAMOTOR from Bellevue, Washington. They were closest to factory as far as the twist lock area that fits to the circuit board, you just can't twist all the way in or the bulb goes out but works perfectly and remember LED bulbs are polarity sensitive so if they don't lite pull out of socket and turn around. I did mine in Blue and you can see the blue even in full daylight, the other indicator lights in the cluster are T5 sockets which are smaller and for 70,73,74, 2721,17 bulbs. I am attaching photo of my dash and products I bought from YITAMOTOR on EBAY.

When you change from stock bulbs to led do you have to get a controller for the leds or are they plug and play with the stock wiring harness

They are plug and play but you lose most of your ability to dim.
