interior lights dont work 98 s-10 blazer
okay so my interior lights dont work unless i push the dome override button on the headlight control, the switches on the side of the dash work because they alow my chime to go off with the door open but not the light... checked fuses and everything i cant figure out what it could be, i work in a junkyard so maybe i should just try to replace the switches, but its weird, the lights dont go on for the driver, passanger, or rear glass(its a 2 door with tailgate not liftgate) anyone got any ideas?

if you have to press the dome override switch then your switch is backwards. in both of my 98's when you close the door and hit the locks on the FOB, all the lights turn on for a little bit and then shut off. if your door jamb switches are making the chime work, then they should be making the dome lights work. the dome override switch should be out for normal dome light operation.

Sorry for being DENSE! :) I have a 2000 and I replaced the drivers door switch. And there are NO wires going into the passenger switch. I too
can turn the override on to light enterior lights and that's it |
Well they WORK! Only two wires going to a three tail switch and I can see the wires that are cut for the passenger side I believe. And they WORK that's all that matters???? :)
