Left brake light was not working. I traced all of the wires. checked all the bulbs, I was told it was brake light switch. I put new on in today. Still no brake light. I tried all the signals , 4 ways, still no left brake light. Finally after i turned on left turn signal, now left brake lights works. Just put all tools away, went to try it Left brake light not working again... Frustrated ! ! !

 

might be the socket itself. or swap bulbs from side to side just to eliminate that. if it looks good doesnt mean it is

 

I replaced the bulbs with new ones, there is juice there.

 

Since the brake light switch controls ALL 3 brake lights, and supposedly the center one and right work, you must have consulted with the village idiot.

Turn your hazards on then off. See if that changes it. most likely the problem is with it - it's replaceable by itself - or in the turn sig sw. The center brake light circuit does not pass through the turn sig sw.
