major issue no start

A few months ago I could not get my blazer to start I thought it was the battery then the starter replaced both of those still would not start found out it was the 10 amp fuse under the hood I put a new one turn it over blew the fuse this happened several times I put in a 15 amp fuse and it worked any idea what I might be burning up by putting in a heavier duty fuse

just curious does anybody know what the 10 amp fuse under the hood in the fuse box across the battery does or and or when it goes to I need to figure that out so I can figure out why its shorting out Why it shorts when I crank it

which fuse is? is it in the fuse box near the air cleaner?

Yes it is in the fuse box by the air intake box. Its a 10 amp crank fuse under or near the large starter block fuse. It wouldn't allow me to crank it with the 10 amp fuse it. It kept blowing the 10 amp every time I cranked it. Finally we put a 15 in and it worked. I'm wondering what the 10 amp goes to

there should be a fuse map on the underside of the fusebox cover

Will check on it. But the only problem I got is it says CRANK and that's it I'm wondering if it is the ignition control module. I just replaced the spark plugs the spark plug wires the distributor cap and rotor button.

The crank fuse feeds the neutral safety switch on the transmission, and the tccm... could have a worn through wire causing a short, bad switch, or bad tccm.

I will go out with a flashlight now and look. Where should I look on the transmission roughly

coolasice Oct 10, 2013 08:32 PM

driver side of the transmission... but could also be worn through under the fuse block

Tomorrow after work I will check up on those thanks I need some pointers bad. It wouldn't hurt to have a code reader I bet
