New battery, Alternator good, battery charge fading

Ok i'm about fed up with this car, i have fixed a lot on it so far and still have several mechanical issues i need fixed asap. SO i put a new battery in a few days ago because my old one seems to not hold a charge for over a week and now i know why. I looks like i'm getting a power draw from somewhere draining it. The alternator seems good cause i tested it by starting the vehicle, then disconnecting the battery and it still ran for about 5 mins until i shut it off myself. I believe its a electrical problem with wiring or the computer is bad. Other electrical things that seem odd is that the doom override light has to be pushed inward so the lights are always off other wise they stay on or come back on by them self and drain the battery. Also when i had to move the vehicle one day and the battery was dead but i kept tring right when it was about to fully stop tring to crank the back glass hatch was engaged to open it. This was not the only time it did this, so it was'nt a fluke. Also my back right side door speaker seems only to come on when it wants to. I replaced the wiring on that door and also try opening and closing to see if theres a pinched wire causing it but nothing, just sometimes works and sometimes don't. So i have no idea if i will need a new computer brain or something more. Also today on the way home from work i noticed while listening to my ipod on the stereo (by cassette adapter with all original stock stereo) i heard the volume several time go up and down by its self. Now this has happened b4 but i thought i was just going crazy, but now i know i heard it for sure. There seems to be no way i can tell for sure what is the problem. Also the visors both have mirror doors missing so that might cause a power draw with the switch not being held down but the lights no longer light up so i did'nt think that would be a problem, but just to be sure ill disconnect the wires.

You could try this Battery Drain Parasitic Draw Testing This has happened to me in the past and it was my voltage regulater. You could also put in a Quick disconnect until you find the problem

ill try that

Sounds good, ill have to c if i can borrow a volt meter or buy one and i might find the problem fast or it could be awhile with electrical issues, but thank you so much for the help newguy. Also where is your volt regulator located at? I should check that as well.

I found the problem it had to do with the door lock not fully engaging and because of my security system it would stay active all night, (even with the lights off, by pushing the dome override, there is something still going on draining it) so now leaving the dome light switch in the normal position where it turns on and off when it should, and locking the door by key when i get out, i haven't had a problem since. Also how hard is it to replace a door lock? Not the lock by the handle but where the door meets the side of the vehicle.
