Default outside temp

I have searched for something relating to my problem without results...My outside temp started reading oc after an accident in the corner where the wiring goes threw the body about two years ago. Now all of a sudden the outside temp starts reading everything from -20f below to 150f above then back to oc then starts over. Any ideas what to try now? I would like my outside temp back. This is the third sensor (replaced months ago) but the first time any reading other than oc since the accident. Thanks much.

I'm thinking it might be a grounding issue causing the over head console (OHC) to freak out. Check connections from the OHC all along including continuity & the fuse box that houses the circuit for it, might be a wire loose or intermittent issue. That or it freaked it out enough it's screwed for good & a trip to the pick n pull is on the horizon.

Thanks, I'll take a look and see what I can figure out. Maybe just changing out the ohc first might be a good idea. It was wierd it has said oc for two years then the other night my g/f says what's going on with that...lol. I have only left it on because I use the compass.
