Default overhead console

thank you to anyone who can help with this.
i have a 95 s-10 with a 4.3 vin w. im looking to upgrade my console to the better display with the mileage and all that.
my question is, can you help with my wiring on this.here are the pics of what i have to install.
ive not seen anything about the modules having 2 plugs and im told that since my blazer is a 95. i had to find a module from a 95 to 97 in order for it to work.
the module i bought came from a 97.
the colors of the wires are from left to right
plug 1 white,empty,yellow,black,green,orange.
plug 2 purple,orange,empty,brown,gray,light green/black,dark green,black/white,yellow.
any help would be appreciated thanks.

95 being obd1.5 doesn't have the ecm to do mileage. All you'll get is temp and maybe compass. Everything else was controlled by the ecm of the other truck and not just senders/sensors you can install.

my 95 has the temp and dir module and all the required items to run this newer unit.
my gm dealer told me it was possible to change it to the newer style but they couldnt do it because the cost would be about $100.00 per hr and it wasnt something his people would do.
and im not going to pay their prices, doing it myself is cheaper as long as i can get the info i need.

As far as i know you can't do trip computer on the 95-96. In 97 they changed the serial interface and added the parameters needed for the trip computer. If I am wrong someone please correct me, as I would like to install the trip computer in mine as well.

Easy, all ya gotta do is rewire the truck for a 97+ obd2 ecm. The overhead is plug and play then with all features.

Lol yeah just rewire your truck, not too hard.. But i vaguely remember from before someone else trying to do this and it only works with the OBD2 which some 95's have. But i have no idea for sure so what Diaita said is probably right

Anywhere below half full means you need to order another.

Pretty sure 94 and 95 were all obd1.5. 96 was the change over year and 97+ were all obd2.
