So you have +12v at one of the bulb socket wires but no continuity from the other bulb socket wire to ground, and this is happening at more than one bulb? Do you still measure +12v on one bulb socket wire with the bulb in the socket?

Also the wiring and ground path for those lights varies by configuration. Do you have: NO overhead console, OHC w/o sunroof, OHC w/SR?

The ground path for those two overhead lights is complicated, it’s involves the inadvertent power relay and the courtesy lamp relay, both in the body relay block under the dash. Those two relays are controlled by the BCM after input from the door switches. So the door handles and jamb switches are just signal inputs to the BCM, they do not directly control the power to the lights and the lights are ground side switched with those two relays after input from the BCM. Let me know if you are going to get to that relay block and test the relays and I can help.

Also, I asked separately if the truck starts and keeps running given your security light issue?

please provide more details. Does this mean that you cannot start the truck with the key? What happens when you try? Does it crank? Does it run and then die? Does the security light go out if you use the remote start?

When the truck uses a remote wireless start then the passlock resistor value has to be artificially presented to the BCM because the Hall effect sensor in the ignition switch assembly has not been rotated. In order to be able to start with the key, that original resistor value still needs to be presented by the BCM. Both resistors must be the same because the BCM only learns one value.

What brand and model model is the remote start?

Get to the body relay block under the dash to the right of the IP fuse block. The easiest first step woul d be to swap the inadvertent power relay and the courtesy lamp relay with two known good relays of identical type to see if it’s the relays. If that does not work then get a digital meter and we can start diagnosing the circuit.

Christine208 recently posted some pictures of the BRB here if you need help. Either search or PM her.
