passenger side headlight not working? URGENT

This problem has been bugging me for a while now. when i turn the truck on and its near night time the headlights engage. but lately the passenger side light refuses to work unless you physically abuse it( smacking the headlight itself or taking the bulb out of the headlight and flicking it until it comes on). i noticed today when i take it out and flick it it puts out a little spark like it wants to work but it cannot. eventually it starts but only after punching and flicking for what seems like forever. this can get embarrassing after awhile. any suggestions? new bulb or what? ill try uploading a video if my iphone will let me. this is very concerning for me and i need it taken care of.

easy.

test the voltage,if its there its either the bulb,or bad headlight (loose wiggly connection)

I'm guessing a bad bulb. ground wire? 9006 bulb for the low beam, 9005 for the high IIR.

its the low beam light, high beam works fine. i just wish i had the tools and know how to do it. i know how to take stuff apart. but fixing it is a different story!

do you have a multimeter? pull the bulb out of its socket and see if you have 12v across the bulb contacts.
