If I remember correctly you can find the signal wire going into the lock cylinder and solder in a resistor that is equal to the resistor in the key and that will bypass the entire system forever. you can find the resistance by using an ohm meter on the little chip in your key.

Has anyone else had the passlock issue for no start? If so did anyone try soldering in the resistor between the orange/black and yellow going down into the steering column and how did it work for you? What ohm readings have people been getting? Mine is 3700 ohms, does that sound in the ball park? My passlock won't let the truck start with the key but I can start it with the Compustar remote. Unfortunately it will only run for 15 minutes then shuts off. Had to snip the brake wire to the remote brain so at least can use the brakes without killing the engine. There doesn't seem to be an option 2-7 on my compustar to extend runtime. Any helpful comments/solutions appreciated.

PS there's no chip in my key- passlock 2 system.
