Power Window here today, gone tomorrow!
 

A simple door handle has turned my 88 k-5 project into a head scratching nightmare. Pulled off passenger door panel and a wire broke at the window switch. Dammit. Finished my handle and tackled the switch wire. Tried to repair and failed. Soldering iron got switch too hot. Bought and installed new switch and connector. Window non-op. Driver window works but driver side switch for passenger side....nothing. Tried another switch. Same. Bought a new motor. Unplugged original motor(still in door) and plugged in new motor. Motor works in one direction but not other. Test light shows power (at switch) in all positions. Tried another motor. Same result. I matched all color-codes for wires. Window worked fine before all this. I'm stumped y'all. Any input would be appreciated.

Update: Jump wired the old motor in door and it works. Both directions. Bench tested the switch and it works. Hook it all up and same. Cross wired the wires from switch to motor and it goes down!! But not up. Go to driver door passenger window switch and it passenger window goes down. But not up. Put wires back to O.E. specs and just the opposite. One direction but not the other.
