Security light permanently on.
Any information possible would be greatly appreciated!
On installing a (PLJX gm self learning passlock override module) with pics. Showing what wires to connect from the module to the wire harness. Instructions not included in package and I am not a licensed dealer and can't access install instructions on website.

Have you hacked up the wiring yet or just thinking about installing this "override module"?
Why are you doing this?
If you haven't started any modification yet, then I am willing to help you get your passlock system working as it should.
Please advise.

Show me the relearn process you are using. Did you have a full battery at the start plus a battery charger on it during the entire relearn process? Did the light flash on and go out as indicated in the procedure? How and when did all this start happening? Year of your vehicle would be useful since passlock changed over the years.
If you want it done correctly, then forget this module.

OK - so if the light never goes out after 10 minutes, then you have never completed the relearn (only tried to complete the relearn). Something else is wrong.
The way Passlock works is the key when turned, sends a specific voltage to the BCM - which in turn tells the PCM to allow the engine to start. The failure for the light to go out leads me to believe that the voltage was not being received by the BCM (or it is not being recognized by the BCM), so BCM is not turning the light off during the relearn. That is way different from the BCM receiving the incorrect voltage that these resistor kits propose to overcome. I think you need to start with the Passlock diagnostic check (ATTACHED). You will need a scanner like the I-link 400 I have in order to read all the special GM codes here and look at the passlock status. There are more diagnostic charts referred to in this diagnostic check, but I'm not going to post them until you show me you have done this one and need more. So the I-link 400 (Amazon) is about $150. Or you can pay the dealer to diagnose and repair.

shop around if you want one - but make sure you buy the one for GM.
Good luck
