Default tailgate

I'm the proud new owner of a 1988 chevy blazer and I'm having troubles wit the back end... my tailgate wont lower and my power window is inop. Is there a way to manually lower and raise thus Window any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Well, GM made stuff hard when that window release goes bad...2 of the screws to remove the back panel are on the outside of the gate...only accessible when the gate is down(go figure..) when I bought mine I made sure I figured out how to release the window manualy when it bad...its kind of a pain but if you reach in the plastic by where the window hooks(From inside the back) you should be able to find the locks inside...it goes down for the tail gate release and up to unhook the window. I hope this helps..if you're still havin the problem I can take my tailgate apart and send you pictures if you want! Let me know!
