toggle/rocker switches instead of the stock switch for lights?
I want to get some of those light-up toggle switches (orange, white, red, etc) to replace the lame plastic stock switch.
How hard would this be?
I would like to remove the stock one and put a plastic or metal plate to mount the new switches on.
It should just be 4 wires, 2 for each?
Any ideas?
Here are some pictures.

You might want to think about twice about that. I installed one (red) for the fog lights. I put it underneath the steering column by the fuse box. Glad I did because at night it lights up my entire leg area. If you put one where the light & parking switch is you'd have to hold your hand up all the time to keep the light out of your eyes or would be real annoying to say the least...maybe put a temporary one there and drive around at night too see the results...just my 2cents....

Good call. I had blue lights on the dash for alternate power (fog lights, reverse light, etc.) and I had to move them for the same reason. Once I moved them, the pedal area looked pretty cool with a nice blue glow add night.
Doing the switch install is simple, however. I just cut out the space needed for the switch and popped them in. I also made an alternate face plate to put in place of the OEM one.

^ Yeah depending on the kind you get the light output can be a problem, and if you mean 4 wires on the back of the new switch there is actually 3; one for power, one to go to the positive for the fogs, and the ground for the switch light.
