Light Bar Help
Alrighty Folks. Calling all the help in this one. I have a 42” light bar that I picked up for real cheap. It is straight. Now I have no clue where to mount it without it bottoming it out. The brackets arent tall enough for the hood and it is too wide for my cargo rack (by about 2 inches). Anyone have diy bracket ideas or mounting ideas?
Below is the picture of my blazer.

What about on the roof, in front of the roof basket? If the brackets aren't long enough to mount that way, could always use longer bolts with washers or nuts in between the bracket and roof. Might look kinda janky, though

Im thinking to do that and mount them to the front of the OEM cross bars at the front of the OEM rack. Thanks!

looks good, do you think I could do it with a straight?

You should be able to do the same with a straight bar. You could do the same type of brackets but move them back so the bar is above the roof. You could also get the brackets for a newer k1500 and adapt them to your truck.
