White mystery wire 4.3l with pics

Hello everyone. New this site, new to 4.3/blazer world, not new to cars. Was a diehard mopar guy for a long time, but the Gm's from the 1980's and up are way nicer in most ways (better looking, cheaper parts, actually find parts etc). Just bought a 99 blazer. Owned a daily driver 2001 impala with the 3.8l for a long time, so couple emmision things look familiar. Tonight I was moving a power wire for an amp that the previous owner thought it was a good idea to run the wire right across the motor (laying on top), under the air cleaner tube and under the brake booster and it fit fine right along the cowl with the rest of the wires. Anyways notice this funny looking wire just dangling in the air, with an E-shaped terminal. Studied some pics and found it attaches to another mystery "box" thing in front of the distributor. Searched google for an hour, no luck. What is this wire and what's it plugged into, and when I mean plugged it looks like it does nothing or actually connect to anything. Guessing test wire, or magnetic pickup thingie

I think its called a retaining clip? It goes into one of the connections, to help prevent the plug from coming undone. Can't remember exactly where it goes. But will be withing reach of itself.

So, it's the clip that hold the plug into the spider injector (mysterious box)

I think that is the MPI injector retaining clip, let me run out and look

Oh so its a clip to hold the cover down, wouldn't have guessed that. Thanks guys
