windshield wipers

My wipers were working only when they felt like it. I thought there was a loose connection or corrosion at the connector.
This site is a great resource! After reading the posts and viewing the youtube link concerning the circuit board I pulled it out and using a magnifying glass found many of the solder joints cracked. I've resoldered them and all seems to be well. Time will tell if this is a good long term fix.
Thanks Blazerforum and those who share their knowledge and experience.

Same here! Mine always turned on, but would only stop when they felt like it, which could (and often did) leave the blades diagonally across my line of sight. Even when I hit the "Mist" function, instead of only taking one swipe they would make 4-7 passes before stopping somewhere randomly.

I even got a bonus after the re-solder.....my washers started working again!
Thanks Blazerforum!

we have been programmed to REPLACE parts rather than repair

The day time running light module on my Civic was causing me issues
Talked to parts guy at local Acura dealer about replacing the relay because it was the cheaper guess
He said he could order me a relay but assured me it was the DRL module
He gave me a quick "how to" repair the module rather than replace
He saved me several hundred $ at absolutely no charge because it was only broken solders that I was able to fix myself
I took a donut shop gift card back to the parts guy for saving me money
