wiring a double switch question

I am doing a project and would like to wire a sort of safety, meaning I would have to flip the toggle switch before hitting the push button to make it work. Would I wire everything like normal, but run a wire from the toggle to the push button?

I have no idea what you are wiring but I will take a guess at a push button start switch with a hidden toggle, to interrupt power to the push button run the power thu the toggle then to the push button then from the push button to what ever you are powering :icon_dance-cpatch:

Actually, it is to my secondary horns. I am putting a toggle switch by my CB, where my lightbar switches and a toggle to my CB will be. The push button will be on my roof console. I am putting in a safety because these horns are loud, and my little ones (3 and 4) like beeping the horn, and I don't wanna piss off the neighbors. lol.

So, If I use a 2 prong toggle, and just basically put it in line to the push button, no ground or anything, it should work that way? Or should I go with a 3 prong, run input and output in line to push button, and ground it as well?

I am not used to running a second switch, but I just prefer having the safety as to not bump it on accident or anything like that. I am doing a write up off this job when I am done, and I will be sure to acknowledge all help I receive. Thanks.

It's simple, run fused wire from battery to one side of switch. From the other side of the switch, run wire to one side of button. From other side of button run wire to relay. You shouldn't need to ground anything except the relay. And I made a quick doodle for you lol just don't forget a fuse close to the battery (or wherever you get your power from)

Thanks, LazyBoy. That is exactly the I was thinking. I appreciate the drawing as well.

Blazers going to the tranny shop today, since popping a code for slipping. Then next Friday to get an alignment. Ball Joint and Idler Arm shot. Destroyed both front tires, which I should have gotten a lot more miles from, but the inside had wires showing. So I bought new tires and after the tranny is taken care off, I will be wiring this project up.
