Wiring up some new fog lights
 

So i went down to the princess auto today (those of you from the great white north will know that that is) and picked myself up 2 100 watt fog lamps that i plan on bolting up to my front bumper between the bow tie and the existing head lights.

My question is about wiring, being from princess auto the lights didn't come with any sort of a wiring kit. Would it be possible to double my existing fog light switch to turn these lights on and off by simply splicing the power wires for these into the wires for the pre existing fog lights? I guess what i'm really asking is what's the amp rating on that switch or do the existing fog lights use a relay so amp draw won't matter? More directly, do any of you guys see a problem with splicing the wires?

I bought a spotlight wiring harness, it came wired up with relay and inline fuse, with the switch wire I just spliced it into my existing fog light switch to activate the relay to turn the lights on. If you did it the other way you would have to run them of the existing relay, just remember that the switch is only to activate the realy which draws the current. Hope it Helps.
