04 4 wheel drive problem

i have a 2004 blazer and it will shift into 4 hi and 4 lo with no problem but when i shift into 4 hi and give it any power i hear a loud ratcheting sound coming from the front drivers side and i really dont know, if anyone has any ideas it would be a huge help.
