Default 2011 Chevrolet Sonic????

2012 Sonic (i typo-ed above) anyone ever seen it? It looks like a beefed up Chevy Aveo but....... it has a turbo! looks amazingly fun/cheap for it. comes out in the fall

yeah its only 138hp (just like the aveo) but i really like the look of it. i guess its just me missing my old Cavalier. but i'd love a new cruze or even this smaller car for cheap

I don't really know what my opinion on this is.
It looks good and I'm sure its a fun car, but I just think HONDA when I look at it.

It looks like a Chevy to me. It's part of the new era of smaller engines with turbos. Good gas mileage with the capability of getting up to speed so you don't get run over by the larger cars and trucks. I haven't heard anything about engine size but its probably smaller than my 66 Vw.

i hear the option with the turbo is a 5 or 6 speed manual only (at first)

would be a nice commuter

this is also very interesting too:

"The nuts and bolts of the Sonic’s suspension include MacPherson struts with coil springs and a stabilizer up front, while the rear gets “a semi-independent, torsion beam axle-mount compound link-type rear suspension—featuring a robust, tubular V-shape beam—with gas-charged shocks.”

'In Chevy-speak, “Engineers who also work on the Corvette tuned the Sonic’s confident ride and handling, giving it a more direct and athletic feel,” '

maybe this thing will handle like its on rails

well, it'll be a nice thing to go see this week at the auto show, i'll load some photos.

i'd really like the 1.4L turbo with a 6 speed manual or an automatic. i'd honestly think about this car as a commuter car or an "in the city" car so that the truck doesn't get unnecessary wear and tear/horrid mileage.

I like the new Sonic. Thank god they are replacing the Aveo with this. For some reason GM decided to do a name change. This car was destined to just be a new Aveo. BTW this car, like the Cruze, is from Daewoo. However, we get this one when it is released, not a year or two later.
