4x4 Rims
Hi all. i am new to this site and recently a new blazer owner. i have been driving blazers for about 3 years now for work. recently, back in april, crashed my '89 S-15 pickup. it was a sad day. but now i have moved on and bought a blazer. i got it all, heated leather seats, fog lights, tow package, 4x4, etc, etc. my only problem with my 98 blazer is that i [I]cannot[I] stand the wheels that are on it. i was wondering if i am stuck with them since its 4 wheel drive or if i could change them. the ones that i have are just about flat on the outside with little spokes that are painted black. not bad, but if i could change them i would. any ideas??
Thanks in advance. |
there are many diff style original rims that will work just case its 4wd doesnt mean anything you can put 2wd rims on it if wanted
|
Note 2wd Rims will stick out more...
If you go with after market Make sure the bolt pattern is the same. But other then that any other blazer rim will fit. |

backspacing is different and the suspension is different from a 2wd to a 4wd.
I think 4x4 axles are wider then a 2wd. Or its the opposite way. Cant remember off the top of my head. |
firebird rims will fit 4x4's. its what i have on mine.

Thanks in advance. You could also go with a bigger rim like 16 inch etc. |

Any GM or Chevy wheel that has a 5 lug and 4 1/2 bolt pattern will fit.So possibities are almost limitless.

right...i guess i didnt think about the back spacing with the rims. and i have read that the 4x4 does have wider axles. thats why the 2wd rims would stick out. does anyone happen to know the back spacing on the 4wd rims? im not sure on how to measure it.
