OK so, we are moving to a new home and I want to do some large paintings to put in the living room....I got the idea to do some old junk yard bugs....here are some quick sketches of ideas....I want to do a series of three....what do you think?

PS (the paintings will be in rusty looking blues greens reds and yellows)

 

If you go with three, I would avoid having them identical/symmetrical, some differences like missing hoods and lights would be cool, as well as maybe a cracked windshield still present in the middle one...

Most definitely!!! You should definitely make them all different. Different years too! Maybe one of the Dune Bugs too! those things are awesome.

The first one is real good - Only thing though, is the steering wheel is on the wrong side! LOL

 

If you're going to do the dune bug you've got to have the bug van aswell.

The first one would be three seperate canvases and the left one is winter the middle spring and the last one fall....I have always liked the tree pics like that and though why not with the bug.

Diggin the bus. Had many bugs when i was much younger. Still have a spot for them. Great work.
