air tools frozen ?
hey guys me and my dad got some air tools that wont work any more
I do oil them but i guess they seized up Must of been the humidity Any of you guys have any ideas if there shot or there is a way to fix them ? :icon_shrug: any ways im open to suggestions thanks =) |
Tear them down, wire brush the rust away, oil up and reassemble.

yep,open em up. or soak them in a pool of pb blaster or wd 40 for a day or so. MIGHT work(no idea,totally just pulled it from my...head...
it may have an affect on orings,but hey if they dont work then whats there to loose. if they start working again,cool. rebuild/clean as necessary. |
Yeah... except forget the 'wire brush'! Unless they are brass brushes.
probably aren't that bad anyway. Hint: My garage is pretty humid. I always put two drops oil into the air coupling when I'm done with it and store 'em coupling up. |
yea i thought so imma soak them in a 5 gallon pale and keep them in there
