Buying a code reader finally!
Can someone recommend a good, reliable hand held code scanner that won't break the bank? I have decided finally 2 take the plunge and buy one instead of borrowing 1 or having Auto Zone do it for me. I have a 98 Blazer 4x4 LT and my wife has a 97 Nissan Maxima so I will need something that can be used on both vehicles... Showing my lack of really understanding scanners, just want 2 be sure whatever I buy works on both of them lol!!! Like I said, nothing super top of the line, just something reliable around the $100 dollar range, thanks for any advice :)

I decided 2 buy a Innova 3020 code reader... I was told it would fit both my 98 Blazer and my wifes 97 Nissan Maxima... Works great on my ride but I can't seem 2 get it hooked up properly on her car... Last thing I want 2 do is break and or bend something by pushing 2 hard...

I had an Innova I bought from AutoZone and it was crap, returned it a day later. The Launch one I linked, while cheap Chinesium, is actually quite sturdy and has worked no problem for me. Even came with a USB cable to update the firmware from my computer. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.
