I hate being shocked...but being a electrician it comes with the territory.

Did he just wire a 110/220 line to the sink? If so, that's dangerous.

20kV out of a flyback transformer is what I use to shock people. High enough voltage to jump a good distance but it can't put out enough current to be lethal, so it's safe.

I know an old timer that used to finger test 480 volt.

I hate getting bit by electricle things. Now I would be very cautious of hooking up a what looks like car battery to a sink(knew someone who set their house on fire that way.) But we have fun with shocking people in our mechanics class. We'll take capacitors charge them up and toss them to people, leave them underneith toilet seats, etc

That was pretty funny but if someone did that to me I doubt they would still be around.
