headlight adjustment
my headlight is pointing down to the ground and i really cant see anything at night. I found the headlight adjustment screw but when i screw it in it goes no where... I can push it so it goes in but then it just comes back out, so I'm guess what ever it screws into is striped. does anyone know a work around or a place I can get a new housing? I bought projectors, and HIDs are on the way cause the lights suck on this thing and now I just need to point right.
Thanks found it: Part No. 42119 at Advanced Auto. |
First thing I would do is make sure your light is installed correctly, as in both tabs seated completely.

do the 1st gen blazers have the tabs on the headlight?
|
Hmmmm...
I don't know if the 1st gens do have the tabs or not??? |
This fixed my issue. I also need to go out and buy new Headlight Retainer's as I lost some of the screws lastnight, *damn drunk people bothering you while trying to work*

If you want to aim them to factory spec, here is the aiming screen print:
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...ght_screen.gif The height of line 3 is the measurement from the ground to the center of the bulb in the headlamp. The width of the two vertical lines (#2) is the measurement from the centerline of the car to the center of the headlamps. You will want to have around a 1/2 tank of fuel. |
awesome! thanks a bunch for that info.
