Hmm.. So i kinda want an Audi
Now before you guys think im losing it... My truck is not leaving my possession come hell or high water lol. I just want a second car.
One reason is now that im 18 i kinda want to start working on my credit, and getting a car loan from a bank is a decent way of doing that so i hear. Only problem is you have to have full coverage.. but oh well. I just want something that's a little more sporty and gets better gas mileage. Ive always like Audi's so i started doing some looking, Im thinking somewhere along the lines of 1998-2001 A4 Manual 2.8l. I was first thinking the 1.8t but they arent exactly known for their reliability. But the problem im facing is Audi's arent known for their reliability in general, with the crappy timing belt design and sludge problems. I have no problem following a DIY so i guess it isnt too big of a deal but still. There are a bunch around here going for $4500-$6500 with anywhere from 90k-150k miles. I really dont want some stupid Honda (although they are reliable) or a BMW (way over rated IMO) so i think an Audi is a fairly good option. Opinions?? (Again no im not getting rid of my truck) |
DO ITTTTTTTTTT ! =D buy me a diesel dually while your at it =D other then that audi sounds like a nice car

But theres just something about this car thats just.. umm.. DAMN http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...lazer/Audi.jpg |
That one looks really nice but what about a Honda civic vtech si? They are sporty, reliable, and good mpg
|
Yeah idk.. ive never cared for civics, probably because of the type of people who drive them at my school, most of them think they are the best thing to walk this earth. Although they are really nice cars and really reliable.. I let stupid things bug me lol. For some reason i like the class of an Audi.
This does look pretty cool tho http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...azer/Civic.jpg ^^^ that on is for sale for 7k right now, which doesnt seem like a bad deal. I just need to do some more research. I was also thinking about getting a 240sx, but again the same type of people drive those as drive civics around here. |
.
Yeah, I've always liked Audi's too! Imo, the TDI is the way to go. Sporty, excellent gas mileage at around 42 mpg. How the heck can you beat that? You can't! TDI FTW!!!
|
Yeah a TDI is actually a really good option! i was also considering one of those. i like them for their ability's, their looks are a little different story tho.

I personally like the B5 A4 from '97 to 2001. You had the option of a 1.9 i4 TDI or 2.5 v6 TDI. Here is the B5 A4 body style from '97 to 2001. Sexy body style imo. http://images04.olx.com/ui/2/18/12/18641612_2.jpg http://c0.dmlimg.com/1fc1c1c2db5852e...7736880ca1.jpg http://photos.autogidas.lt/s/photos/...2_19821714.jpg |

Tibby- Lol OHH! i thought you were talking about like a Jetta TDI... But Yes the B5's are sexy. Thats what the silver one is that i posted in the 3rd post, I think its a 2001. And the engine options for the B5 A4's are 1.8 i4 turbo or a NA 2.8 V6 i think. Audi's are sexy in general. But i think a 98-2001 A4 2.8 V6 is the way i would have to go. in 98 they switched from the 12V V6 to the 30V V6 lol so thats a no brainer on which is better. |
