Sadly, I've met adults at my community college who can't even spell at that level. The future of America looks bleak. I'm moving to New Zealand. Decent weather and no crazy gun control laws from my researching. I'm sold.

I wonder if anyone managed to decode the ad and buy anything from him lol.
Indeed, I'll sometimes see notes throughout my friends house from his dad (like telling my friend to empty trash/other chores, or if his dad needs to call someone, etc), and the spelling isn't very good. I can't remember specific examples but it's fairly easy words he's messed up on. He dropped out of high school, I'm not sure what he does for a living but I know he used to be a painter, and he's never used a computer to my knowledge. He's a really cool guy though, loves his son a lot, you can tell. And I can read the ad perfectly fine, but then I'm used to reading messages like that due to a certain friend of mine.

i think its a combination of a couple factors...

A. technology is partly to blame for being able to surf full HTML on cell phones and the miracle of predictive text input aka T9, T9 only does SOME of the work and you STILL have to correct it

B. the new "l337" speak of said web junkies now days is more than horrible, in their mind I assume they think they are joining the cool crowd for typing like that in general

C. or, its a combination of what I said and what everyone else said lol

personally Im a HS dropout, and never pursued afterwords, so, I think its just the laziness of sheeple I mean people in general. thats why I dont sell or really buy on craigslist, I dont want to buy anything thats verbally f'd up, and IF and or WHEN I call i dont really have the time or mental patience to deal with half assed grammar, same goes if someone calls me on goods.

Ill pay the ebay/PayPal fees

I completely agree! It seems that grammar and proper pronunciation of words isn't worth the time these days. Much cooler to spell phonetically then the proper way. Iz jist dunt undurstend...
