I have a problem, but I don't know where to post it.

Hello, I am new to this and any help would be great! I would like to make a post in regards to my dash lights not coming on and my transmission not shifting only when the lights do not turn on. I have read that I need to find the appropriate area to post my thread and be as specific as possible, so who can tell me where to post my problem? Please.

hmmm I'd say it could/should be 2 seperate posts in
Steering, Suspension & Drivetrain &
Engine & Transmission
make sure you give as much detail to what the issues are & what you're driving, mileage, mods etc... thats always important & people will always ask anyway ;)

good luck

also try the Search feature & put in the search something like interior light or interior light issues, muck around with wording to how you feel in search & see what & where the search takes you

From your user name I'm going to guess that you drive a 2001 so you could post the question in the '2nd Gen Tech' section. You can make it one single thread since the two questions seem to have a common link. The section descriptions on the home page are a good guide as to where to post.

What do you mean by "not shifting"" Is it not shifting while driving (i.e. 2nd to 3rd) or you cant shift it out of park when the key is turned. Truck running or not?

Please be more specific.

Since this thread is in 'The Lounge', let's wait until the questions get posted in the appropriate secton.

Thank you for the help. I have put my very detailed problem in the steering, suspension, and drive train as well as 2nd Gen Tech sections.
